Front Seat Track Motor: Removal

The following procedure prescribes critical repair steps required for correct restraint system operation during a crash. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the restraint system and increases the risk of serious personal injury or death in a crash.

NOTE:
Typical seat shown, others similar.
- Position the front seat to the upward location.
- Remove the front seat. REFER to: Front Seat .
- Remove the 2 front seat cushion side shield screws.
- Disconnect the front seat control switch electrical connector and remove the front seat cushion side shield.
- Disconnect the front seat track motor (fore-aft) electrical connector, release the 3 retainers and position the wire harness aside.
- Release the 3 retainers and position the wire harness aside.
- Remove the 4 bolts and the front seat track motor.
