Front Seat Cushion Cover: Removal

All seats

Remove the front seat. REFER to: Front Seat .
Remove the 2 front seat cushion side shield screws.

Disconnect the front seat control switch electrical connector and remove the front seat cushion side shield.

Disconnect and detach the wire harness electrical connectors.

1. Detach the backrest cover straps.
2. If equipped with climate control seats, route the backrest cover straps through the backrest blower motor snorkel.
3. Position the backrest cover upward.

Detach the wire harness retainers and position the wire harness aside.

Driver seat
Remove the DSM. REFER to: Driver Front Seat Module (DSM) .
Passenger seat
If equipped, remove the SCME. REFER to: Front Seat Climate Control Module [SCME] .
All seats
If equipped with heated seats, disconnect and position the heated seat harness aside.

NOTE: Note the location of the front seat cushion cover safety belt buckle elastic strap.

Release the 7 J-clips and position the front of the front seat cushion and cover assembly upward.

Passenger seat
NOTE: Original equipment (OE) OCS shown, service kit similar.

NOTE: This step is only necessary when an OCS service kit is installed.

NOTE: If equipped with an OCS service kit, the OCS is adhered to the bottom of the front seat cushion.

With the front seat cushion and cover assembly positioned upward, remove the 2 OCS pin-type retainers.

NOTE: This step is only necessary when an OCS service kit is installed.

NOTE: Follow the unique instructions or graphic for this step in the installation.

Disconnect the electrical connector, bend the bracket tab away and slide the OCS sensor off the bracket.

All Seats
NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

NOTE: Note the location of the OCS hose (if equipped) and heater mat pigtail (if equipped) as they pass through the seat springs for proper installation.

Remove the front seat cushion and cover assembly and, if equipped, the OCS service kit.

NOTE: Use care when separating the seat cushion from the hook-and-arrow or the hook may be torn from the seat cushion foam pad.

NOTE: Use care when separating the seat cushion trim cover from the hook-and-loop strips or the hook-and-loop strips may be torn from the seat cushion foam pad.
- Release hook-and-loop strips and hook and arrow strips from the seat cushion.
- Separate and invert the front seat cushion cover from the seat cushion.
- Pull the front seat cushion through the front seat cushion cover strap.
