Removal And Installation: Headliner: Removal

Remove the following items:
1. On both sides, remove the A-pillar trim panel. Refer to: A-Pillar Trim Panel .
2. On both sides, remove the B-pillar trim panel. Refer to: B-Pillar Trim Panel .
3. On both sides, remove the loadspace trim panel. Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel .
4. On both sides, remove the C-pillar trim panel. Refer to: C-Pillar Trim Panel .
5. Remove the glove compartment. Refer to: Glove Compartment .
On both sides. Position aside the front door weatherstrip.

1. NOTE: Plug the rear washer hose after disconnecting. Failure to do so will result in damage to the interior due to fluid leakage.
  
  Disconnect the rear washer hose C-lock coupling. Refer to: Washer Hose Coupling .
2. Disconnect the headliner wire harness electrical connectors and position wire harness aside.

Position the headliner wiring harness and rear washer hose past the RH side of the instrument panel.

If equipped. Remove the interior rear view mirror covers.

If equipped. Disconnect the interior rear view mirror electrical connectors.

If equipped. Remove the retainers and all the grab handles.

On both sides. Remove the sun visor.
1. Remove the retainers.
2. Position the corner of the headliner down.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the sun visor.

On both sides. Remove the retainer and the sun visor clip.

Disconnect the rear washer hose C-lock coupling. Refer to: Washer Hose Coupling .

Position the rear seat backrests down.

On both sides. Position the front seats in the full forward and full relclined position.
1. Position the seats in the full forward position.
2. Position the seats in the full reclined position.

Release the rear 2-way locators at the rear of the headliner.

NOTE: Vehicles equipped with roof opening panel shown, others similar.
1. From inside the vehicle, grab the headliner from the roof opening panel cutout and pull down to release the magnets holding the headliner to the roof.
2. While holding the headliner down on the inside of the vehicle around the roof opening panel cutout, pull down on the outer edge of the headliner and lower the headliner.

Remove the headliner.
