B-Pillar Trim Panel: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

NOTE: Due to high retention clips both the upper and lower B-pillar trim panels are one time use only.

Upper and Lower

1. Release the clips.
2. If equipped. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the front door scuff plate trim panel.

Release the clips and remove the rear door scuff plate trim panel.

Release the clips and remove and discard the lower B-pillar trim panel.

Upper
Depower the SRS system. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
Release the pin-type retainers and position the carpet aside.

1. Disconnect the pretensioner electrical connector.
2. Remove the retainer and position the safety belt aside.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

Release the clips and remove and discard the upper B-pillar trim panel.
