Cabin Heater Coolant Pump: Removal

WARNING: When releasing the cooling system pressure, cover the coolant expansion tank cap with a thick cloth.
Release the cooling system pressure by slowly turning the degas bottle cap between 2 and 3 turns and remove the degas bottle cap.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.
- Disconnect the cabin heater coolant pump electrical connector, detach the wiring harness retainer and position aside the wiring harness.

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
- Install the hose clamping pliers on the heater hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)
- Release the clamps, disconnect the heater inlet and outlet hoses.
- Remove the studbolts and the cabin heater coolant pump.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
