Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Inlet Line: Removal

Recover the refrigerant. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging .
Release the degas bottle tabs and the coolant tube retainer, position the degas bottle aside.

NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
1. Remove the A/C compressor inlet line bracket studbolt.
  Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
2. Remove the A/C compressor inlet line nut and disconnect the fitting.
  Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.

Loosen the clamps and remove the CAC outlet pipe.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
1. Remove the A/C compressor inlet line bracket bolt.
  Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)
2. Remove the A/C compressor inlet line nut, disconnect the fitting and remove the A/C compressor inlet line.
  Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
