Rear Seat Backrest Cover: Removal

Remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to: Rear Seat Backrest .
NOTE: Follow the unique instructions or graphics for this step in installation.

While pressing the primary and secondary head restraint release buttons, lift and remove head restraint(s).

Release the head restraint guide sleeves locking tabs using a flat head screwdriver. Remove the head restraint guide sleeves and discard. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

Remove the screws and the outboard safety belt guide. Remove the child safety seat tether anchor bezels and the center safety belt bezel.

Release the seat backrest trim cover lower J-clip.

1. On both sides, unzip the seat backrest trim cover.
2. If equipped with heated seats, route the heated seat electrical connector through the opening at the bottom of the seat backrest trim cover.

If equipped, remove the armrest. Refer to: Rear Seat Armrest .
Remove the center safety belt buckle bolt and discard the clip.

Route the center safety belt and tongue through the opening at the top of the seat backrest trim cover.

NOTE: Use care when separating the seat trim cover from the hook-and-loop strips or the hook-and-loop strips may be torn from the seat cushion foam pad.

NOTE: Use care when separating the seat trim cover from the hook-and-arrow strips or the arrows may be torn from the seat cushion foam pad.

Detach and remove the seat backrest trim cover from the foam pad.
