Telematics Control Unit (TCU) Module: Removal

NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.

Upload the TCU configuration information to the scan tool by following the scan tool on-screen instructions.
Open the floor console stowage bin lid.

Remove the RH trim panel.

Position the carpet aside.

Remove the bolts, and the TCU.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

NOTE: This step is required only if the module is being replaced.

Remove the screws and remove the TCU from the mounting bracket.
