Hood Latch Release Cable: Installation

Route the hood latch release cable through the cowl and attach the routing clip.

Route the hood latch release cable through the engine compartment.

Install the hood latch release cable underneath the BJB and position back the BJB.
1. Install the cable under the BJB.
2. Install the cable routing clip.
3. Position back the BJB.
4. Install the bolt to the BJB.

NOTE: Attaching the cable to the release mechanism is only necessary if installing the original hood release cable assembly.

Attach the hood latch release cable. Install the bolts and hood latch release.

Position back the carpet.

Position back the weatherstrip. Install the kick panel, scuff plate, and hood latch release handle.

Attach the hood latch release cable to the hood latch.
