AWD Gauge

The AWD gauge is a virtual gauge that displays the level of power applied to each wheel. The IPC uses the wheel torque applied to each of the wheels, supplied by the PCM, to determine the AWD gauge display. As power is applied to the wheels, the area directly in front of each displayed wheel begin to fill in. The lowest power displayed is the closest to the wheel. As the amount of power sent to the wheels increases, the area fills in either forward (front wheels) or rearward (rear wheels) of the wheels.

The IPC receives the wheel torque message from the GWM over the HS-CAN3. The GWM receives the wheel torque message from the PCM over the HS-CAN1.
