Exterior Lighting - Overview: Stoplamps

The stoplamp system consists of:

The stoplamp switch is located on the brake pedal assembly. Voltage is supplied to the luggage compartment lid lamps, rear lamps and high mounted stoplamp by the BCM when the brake pedal is applied.

The stoplamps are integrated into the reversing lamp and rear lamp assemblies. They are Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and are only serviced with the reversing or rear lamp assembly.
