Pinpoint Test AY : DTC U0122:00
- AY1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
Yes GO to AY2. No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - AY2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform the network test.
Does the VDM pass a network test?
Yes GO to AY3. No REFER to Module Communications Network , The Vehicle Dynamics Module (VDM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool. - AY3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE VDM SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the VDM self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to Vehicle Dynamic Suspension . No GO to AY4. - AY4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
Yes For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test BJ . For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test BK . No GO to AY5. - AY5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCsNOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration may be incorrectly set during the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) or the PMI may not have been carried out.
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0122:00 still present?
Yes GO to AY6. No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition - AY6 CHECK FOR DTC U0122:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Using a scan tool, clear all DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a scan tool, perform self-test.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0122:00 set in the VDM ?
Yes INSTALL a new VDM. REFER to Vehicle Dynamic Suspension . No Refer to IPC Hardware Testing .
