Pinpoint Test J: The Odometer Is Inoperative
- J1 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE PCM KOEO SELF-TEST
- Check the recorded PCM DTCs from the Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to ENGINE CONTROLS - INTRODUCTION (EXCEPT DIESEL & HYBRID) . No GO to J2. - J2 CHECK FOR CORRUPTED NVM
- Ignition ON.
- Observe the message center display area.
Does the odometer display ERROR?
Yes Refer to IPC Hardware Testing . TEST the system for normal operation. No GO to J3. - J3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded IPC DTCs from the self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes For DTC U0100:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AQ . For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Charts No INSTALL a new PCM. REFER to Electronic Engine Controls . TEST the system for normal operation.
