Compass Calibration

Compass Calibration

NOTE: This procedure only applies to vehicles without SYNC®.

1.

NOTE: For optimum calibration, drive to an open, level location away from large metallic objects or structures. Switch off all non-essential electrical accessories (rear window defrost, heater, A/C, map lamps, wipers, etc.) and make sure all doors are closed.

Start the vehicle.

Access the message center main menu screen. Using the up and down arrow buttons scroll and select the Convenience tab. Press the OK button.

Using the up and down arrow buttons scroll and select the Compass tab. Press the OK button.

4.

Press and hold the OK button to calibrate.

5.

NOTE: This takes up to 3 circles to complete calibration.

Slowly drive the vehicle in a circle at no more than 5 km/h (3 mph) until CIRCLE SLOWLY TO CALIBRATE changes to CALIBRATION COMPLETE in the message center.

6.

The compass is now calibrated.
