Pinpoint Test AM: The Headlamps On Warning Chime Is Inoperative 

Normal Operation 

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives the driver door ajar status from the driver door ajar switch through hardwired circuitry and the headlamp switch status from the Front Lighting Control Module (FLM) over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN). The BCM monitors the ignition mode, door ajar input from the LH front door and the headlamp switch status and sends the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) a headlamp on chime request when the headlamp switch is in the HEADLAMP or PARK position with the ignition OFF.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following: 

• Interior lighting concern
• BCM
• IPC
