Removal and Installation

NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.
  1. Upload the module configuration information from the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) into the scan tool following the scan tool on screen instructions.
  2. Remove the instrument panel center finish panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
  3. Remove the steering column opening trim panel.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

  4. Lower the steering column to the lowest position.

  5. Remove the upper LH instrument panel section trim panel.

  6. Remove the LH instrument panel finish panel.

  7. Remove the 2 screws and the LH instrument panel register.

  8. Remove the bolt and LH instrument panel.
    • Detach the gap hider from the upper steering column shroud.

  9. Remove the 4 bolts and IPC  .
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Download the IPC  configuration information from the scan tool to the new IPC  following the scan tool on screen instructions.
