Pinpoint Test At: The Turn Signal/Hazard On Warning Chime Is Inoperative

  1. AT1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.

    Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds? 

    1. Yes  : GO to AT2  .
    2. No  : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
  2. AT2 CHECK THE TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR OPERATION 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Verify the RH and LH turn signal indicators operate correctly.

    Do the turn signal indicators operate correctly? 

    1. Yes  : GO to AT3  .
    2. No  : GO to PINPOINT TEST S .
  3. AT3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.

    Are any DTCs present? 

    1. Yes  : REFER to the BCM DTC Chart in MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
    2. No  : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
