Pinpoint Test Be: DTC U0193:00
- BE1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
- Yes : GO to BE2 .
- No : The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- BE2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
Does the audio DSP module pass the network test?
- Yes : GO to BE3 .
- No : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
- BE3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE AUDIO DSP MODULE SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the audio DSP module self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS - THX 8-INCH (203MM) TOUCHSCREEN, 16 SPEAKERS .
- No : GO to BE4 .
- BE4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded?
- Yes
: For DTC U3003:16, GO to PINPOINT TEST BJ .
For DTC U3003:17, GO to PINPOINT TEST BK .
- No : GO to BE5 .
- BE5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0121:00 still present?
- Yes : GO to BE6 .
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- BE6 CHECK FOR DTC U0193:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Using a scan tool, clear all DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a scan tool, perform self-test.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0193:00 set in the ACM?
- Yes : INSTALL a new audio DSP module. REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS - THX 8-INCH (203MM) TOUCHSCREEN, 16 SPEAKERS .
- No : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
