Pinpoint Test Aw: DTC U0104:00

  1. AW1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
    • Is an observable symptom present? 
    1. Yes  : GO to AW2.
    2. No  : The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
  2. AW2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK 
    • Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
    • Does the C-CM pass the network test? 
    1. Yes  : GO to AW3.
    2. No  : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK , The Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool.
  3. AW3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE C-CM SELF-TEST 
    • Check for recorded DTCs from the C-CM self-test.
    • Are any DTCs recorded? 
    1. Yes  : Refer to CRUISE CONTROL - NON ADAPTIVE .
    2. No  : GO to AW4.
  4. AW4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST 
    • Check for recorded DTCs from the IPC self-test.
    • Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded? 
    1. Yes  : For DTC U3003:16, GO to PINPOINT TEST BJ .

      For DTC U3003:17, GO to PINPOINT TEST BK .

    2. No  : GO to AW5.
  5. AW5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs 
    NOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration may be incorrectly set during the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) or the PMI may not have been carried out.
    • Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
    • Wait 10 seconds.
    • Repeat the IPC self-test.
    • Is DTC U0104:00 still present? 
    1. Yes  : GO to AW6.
    2. No  : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
  6. AW6 CHECK FOR DTC U0104:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES 
    • Using a scan tool, clear all DTCs.
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Wait 10 seconds.
    • Using a scan tool, perform self-test.
    • Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
    • Is DTC U0104:00 set in the ABS module? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new C-CM. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL - NON ADAPTIVE .
    2. No  : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
