Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Belt: Removal

1.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

2.

Remove the 8 retainers and the underbody insulator.

Remove the right front wheel. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .

4.

Remove the 2 retainers and position aside the splash shield.

  By turning the crankshaft pulley bolt clockwise, feed the stretchy belt tool on to the crankshaft pulley approximately 90 degrees. Install Special Service Tool: 303-1419 Remover, 3.5L / 3.7L Stretchy Belt.
- 2.
  
  Fold the stretchy belt tool under the inside of the A/C compressor belt as shown.
- 3.
  
  In one quick motion, firmly pull the stretchy belt remover out of the RH fender well, removing the A/C compressor belt.
