Block Heater: Removal

Drain the cooling system. REFER to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .

  Detach the electrical connector pin-type retainer.
- 2.
  
  Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the wiring harness retainer. Position the wiring harness aside.

Remove the bolts and the exhaust manifold heat shield.
Torque

: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

NOTE: Note the position of the component before removal.

NOTE: Make sure that the component is installed to the position noted before removal.

Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the block heater.

Torque

: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
