Pinpoint Test Am: The BLIS®/CTA Warning Chime Is Inoperative
- AM1 CHECK THE HEADLAMPS ON WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Place the headlamps switch in the parking or headlamp on position.
- Open the LH front door and observe the headlamps on warning chime operation.
- Does the headlamps on warning chime operate?
- Yes : GO to AM2.
- No : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
- AM2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
- Are any DTCs present?
- Yes
: For DTC U0140:00, GO to PINPOINT TEST BA .
For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart - IPC .
- No : GO to AM3.
- AM3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
- Are any DTCs present?
- Yes : REFER to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DTC Chart: BCM.
- No : GO to AM4.
- AM4 CHECK THE BLIS®/CTA OPERATION
- Verify the BLIS®/CTA system operates.
- Does the BLIS®/CTA system operate?
- Yes : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
- No : REFER to SIDE AND REAR VISION .
