Using MyKey® with Aftermarket Remote Start System

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

When using an aftermarket remote start system, the default settings recognize the remote start system as an additional admin key. If the remote start system has not been programmed as a MyKey® and the driver is a MyKey® driver, the driver could drive the vehicle using the remote start system as an admin key with no MyKey® restrictions. If requested by the customer to resolve this concern, the aftermarket remote start system needs to be programmed as a MyKey®. For information on programming the aftermarket remote start system as a MyKey®, refer to MyKey® Programming  .
