Transaxle Case Bushing: Removal

  1. Remove the front LH halfshaft seal. For additional information, refer to HALFSHAFT SEAL - LH .
  2. NOTE: Leave the drain plug out after the transmission fluid drains. The drain plug will need to remain out to clean any debris from the damaged or worn bushing.

  3. Remove the drain plug and drain the transmission fluid.
  4. Install the Step Plate in the differential carrier.

  5. Using the Transmission Extension Housing Bushing Remover remove the LH halfshaft bushing.

  6. Remove the Step Plate from the differential carrier.
