Rear Disc Brake: Installation
- Install the brake disc and the 2 brake disc screws.
- Using the specified brake cleaner, clean the mating surfaces.
- Apply specified lubricant as shown in illustration.
- Tighten the screws to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
- Position the brake caliper, brake pads and brake caliper anchor plate assembly and install the 2 brake caliper anchor plate bolts.
- Tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).
- Install the parking brake cable to the brake caliper.
- Pull back the parking brake lever.
- Connect the cable to the parking brake lever.
- Install the cable conduit retaining clip.
- Install the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
- Cycle the park brake several times to verify normal operation.
- Apply brakes several times to verify correct brake operation.
NOTE:
Make sure the brake disc-to-hub mounting surface is free of rust and foreign material before applying anti-seize lubricant.
NOTE:
Make sure that the brake caliper hose is not twisted.
