Seat Backrest Latch - Rear: Removal

All vehicles 

1. Remove the parcel shelf from the rear of the vehicle to access the rear backrest latch nuts. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
NOTE: Make sure the affected backrest is released.
2. Access the luggage compartment, detach the trim pin-type retainer and position the trim aside.

   Non-hybrid vehicles 

3. Remove the 2 nuts and detach the latch release handle bracket.
4. Detach the 2 pin-type retainers and latch cable assembly.
   • Note the cable routing for installation.
5. Detach the release cable from the latch and remove.

   All vehicles 

6. Remove the backrest latch.
   • Remove the 2 nuts and backrest latch.
