Pinpoint Test Am: The Adaptive Cruise Control Warning Chime Is Inoperative

  1. AM1 CHECK THE KEY-IN-IGNITION WARNING CHIME OPERATION 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Place the ignition in the ACC mode.
    • Open the LH front door and observe the key-in-ignition warning chime operation.
    • Does the key-in-ignition warning chime operate correctly? 
    1. Yes  : GO to AM2.
    2. No  : GO to PINPOINT TEST AH .
  2. AM2 CHECK THE SPEEDOMETER OPERATION 
    • Verify that the speedometer operates.
    • Does the speedometer operate? 
    1. Yes  : GO to AM3.
    2. No  : GO to PINPOINT TEST E .
  3. AM3 CHECK THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL INDICATOR OPERATION 
    • Verify that the adaptive cruise control indicator operates when the cruise control is activated.
    • Does the adaptive cruise control indicator operate correctly? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : GO to PINPOINT TEST U .
