Fusion, Milan And MKZ (Non-Hybrid): Notes

The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)  contains gauges, informational indicators, warning indicators, message center and message center indicators (MKZ only) that are designed to provide the driver with a system status and to alert the driver that certain conditions exist in the vehicle.

The IPC  uses a message center display area for basic informational items such as the odometer, trip odometer, text-based messages and for message center warning indicator displays.
