Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner - 3.5L GTDI: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the RH front wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEELS & TIRES article.
  3. Remove the 7 pin-type retainers and the RH splash shield.
  4. Working from under the vehicle, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt.
  5. Remove the 3 bolts and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
