Pinpoint Test F: A Single Power Window Is Inoperative - RH Rear

NOTE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) from the Flex Probe Kit when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
  1. F1 CHECK THE RH REAR WINDOW OPERATION FROM THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Operate the RH rear window from the LH front window control switch.
    • Does the RH rear window operate from the LH front window control switch? 
    • Yes  : GO to  F8.
    • No  : GO to F2.
  2. F2 CHECK THE POWER TO THE WINDOW MOTOR 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Disconnect: RH Rear Window Motor C803.
    • Measure the voltage between RH rear window motor C803-1, circuit SBP01 (RD), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : GO to F3.
    • No  : VERIFY Smart Junction Box (SJB) fuse 1 (30A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the RH rear window motor. REFER to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION  in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.

      If not OK, REFER to the SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article, to identify the possible causes of the circuit short. REPAIR the circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the RH rear window motor. REFER to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION  in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.

  3. F3 CHECK THE RH REAR WINDOW MOTOR DELAYED ACCESSORY FEED 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Measure the voltage between RH rear window motor C803-3, circuit CBP41 (BU), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : GO to F4.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the RH rear window motor. REFER to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION  in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
  4. F4 CHECK THE RH REAR WINDOW MOTOR GROUND 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Measure the resistance between RH rear window motor C803-2, circuit GD145 (BK/BU), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to F5.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the RH rear window motor. REFER to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION  in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
  5. F5 CHECK CIRCUIT CPW17 (BN/GN) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504.
    • Measure the resistance between RH rear window motor C803-5, circuit CPW17 (BN/GN), harness side and LH front window control switch C504-2, circuit CPW17 (BN/GN), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to F6.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the RH rear window motor. REFER to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION  in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
  6. F6 CHECK CIRCUIT CPW18 (GY/VT) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between RH rear window motor C803-4, circuit CPW18 (GY/VT), harness side and LH front window control switch C504-13, circuit CPW18 (GY/VT), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to F7.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the RH rear window motor. REFER to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION  in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
  7. F7 CHECK THE LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH 
    • Carry out the LH front window control switch component test. Refer to COMPONENT TESTING article, for component testing.
    • Did the LH front window control switch pass the component test? 
  8. F8 CHECK THE POWER TO THE LH REAR WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH 
    NOTE: Make sure the LH window control switch is in the UNLOCK position.
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Disconnect: LH Rear Window Control Switch C801.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Measure the voltage between RH rear window control switch C801-1, circuit CPW14 (VT/WH), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : GO to F9.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the RH rear window motor. REFER to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION  in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
  9. F9 CHECK CIRCUIT CPW17 (BN/GN) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Measure the resistance between RH rear window motor C803-5, circuit CPW17 (BN/GN), harness side and RH rear window control switch C801-3, circuit CPW17 (BN/GN), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to F10.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the RH rear window motor. REFER to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION  in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
  10. F10 CHECK CIRCUIT CPW18 (GY/VT) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between RH rear window motor C803-4, circuit CPW18 (GY/VT), harness side and LH rear window control switch C801-2, circuit CPW18 (GY/VT), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to F11.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit. DE-INITIALIZE, then INITIALIZE the RH rear window motor. REFER to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION  in this service information. TEST the system for normal operation.
  11. F11 CHECK THE RH REAR WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH 
    • Carry out the RH rear window control switch component test. Refer to COMPONENT TESTING article, for component testing.
    • Did the RH rear window control switch pass the component test?
