Removal and Installation
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
- Remove the 2 front bumper cover pin-type retainers.
- Remove the 4 front bumper cover bolts.
- To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
- Remove the 6 fender splash shield screws (3 each side).
- Loosen the 2 front bumper cover-to-front bumper cover mounting bracket screws (1 each side).
- Disconnect the front bumper cover electrical connector located in the lower inside LH bumper cover.
- If equipped, disconnect the speed control sensor electrical connector.
- If equipped, disconnect the auto park long range sensor electrical connector.
- Remove 7 lower air deflector pin-type retainers.
- Remove the front bumper cover.
- Inspect the bumper cover mounting brackets for damage. If necessary, install new bumper cover mounting brackets.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
The rearward upper portion of the bumper cover must be pulled outward to release it from the fender.
