Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the 2 front bumper cover pin-type retainers.
  3. Remove the 4 front bumper cover bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
  4. Remove the 6 fender splash shield screws (3 each side).
  5. Loosen the 2 front bumper cover-to-front bumper cover mounting bracket screws (1 each side).
  6. Disconnect the front bumper cover electrical connector located in the lower inside LH bumper cover.
  7. If equipped, disconnect the speed control sensor electrical connector.
  8. If equipped, disconnect the auto park long range sensor electrical connector.
  9. Remove 7 lower air deflector pin-type retainers.
  10. NOTE: The rearward upper portion of the bumper cover must be pulled outward to release it from the fender.
  11. Remove the front bumper cover.
  12. Inspect the bumper cover mounting brackets for damage. If necessary, install new bumper cover mounting brackets.

  13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
