Removal and Installation
- Remove the rear bumper cover. For additional information, refer to BUMPER COVER - REAR in this service information.
- Remove the rear bumper nuts.
- To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Remove the rear bumper.
- Inspect the rear bumper double-ended studs for damage. If necessary, install new rear double-ended studs.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Any time the rear bumper nuts are removed, it is necessary to re-tighten the rear bumper double-ended studs.
