Removal and Installation
- Remove the rear seat cushion. For additional information, refer to SEAT CUSHION - REAR .
- Disconnect the heated seat electrical connector.
- Pull the safety belts out through the slots of the LH and RH safety belt guides.
- Remove the 2 backrest mounting nuts.
- To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- Slide the backrest up, disengaging the 3 backrest frame upper retainers from the package tray sheet metal.
- Slide the backrest out from under the safety belts and remove the backrest.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure all safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
