Removal And Installation

NOTE: Only vehicles with a mechanical shift transfer case are equipped with a mode indication switch.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
Disconnect the wiring harness connector.

Remove the mode indication switch.
- To install, tighten to 31 Nm (23 lb-ft).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
