Removal and Installation

NOTE: Installation of new sun visor gaskets is necessary when the sun visor has been removed.

Remove and discard the screws.
- To install, tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).

CAUTION: The sun visor gasket adhesive is extremely strong. Make sure to use adequate amount of force to remove the sun visor from the vehicle.

Remove the sun visor from the vehicle, then disconnect the electrical connector.
Remove and discard the sun visor gasket.

CAUTION: If removing a rear rivet nut, removal of the headliner is necessary. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .

NOTE: If the hole is out of specification, refer to SPECIFICATIONS .

If installing a new sun visor retaining screw or rivet nut, grind or drill the screw head and rivet nut flush.
Punch the remaining rivet nut through the hole.

Install a new rivet nut

NOTE: Installation of a new sun visor gasket is necessary when the sun visor has been removed.

NOTE: Prior to installation, clean the sun visor and roof panel mating surfaces.

NOTE: Make sure to wrap the electrical connector with anti-rattle tape before installing the sun visor.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
