Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
  2. Position the water shield aside.
    3. Fig 1: Body Plug

  3. Remove the body plug.
  4. Remove the 2 exterior front door handle nuts.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

  5. Remove the exterior front door handle.
    1. Disconnect the lock cylinder actuating rod from the handle.
    2. Disconnect the door handle actuating rod from the front door latch.
    • Remove the exterior front door handle.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
