WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Lincoln Mark LT and 2007 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
- E1 CHECK CIRCUIT 705 (LG/OG) FOR AN OPEN
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Inoperative Demand Lamp
- Measure the voltage between the inoperative demand lamp connector, harness side and ground as follows:
Location Connector-Pin Circuit LH vanity mirror lamp C907-2 705 (LG/OG) RH vanity mirror lamp C906-2 705 (LG/OG) Front map lamp C929-4 705 (LG/OG) Rear map lamp (without roof opening panel) C932-4 705 (LG/OG) Rear map lamp (with roof opening panel) C901-3 705 (LG/OG) - Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- YES : Go to E2.
- NO : REPAIR the circuit in question. TEST the system for normal operation.
- E2 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK) FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between the inoperative demand lamp connector, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground as follows:
Location Connector-Pin LH vanity mirror lamp C907-1 RH vanity mirror lamp C906-1 Front map lamp C929-3/C929-1 Rear map lamp (without roof opening panel) C932-3/C932-1 Rear map lamp (with roof opening panel) C901-2 - Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- YES : INSTALL a new interior lamp. TEST the system for normal operation.
- NO : REPAIR the circuit in question. TEST the system for normal operation.
- Measure the resistance between the inoperative demand lamp connector, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground as follows:
