Pinpoint Test F: The Instrument Panel Illumination Does Not Dim

  1. F1 CHECK CIRCUIT 19 (LB/RD) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE 
    • Turn the parking lamps off.
    • Disconnect: Headlamp Switch C2150b
    • Monitor the instrument cluster illumination.
    • Does the instrument panel remain illuminated? 
    1. YES  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : INSTALL a new headlamp switch. REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING article. TEST the system for normal operation.
