Removal And Installation

Remove the 6 pushpin retainers and the upper air deflector.

Remove the 4 power steering reservoir bracket bolts.

Remove the power steering fluid indicator and 3 bolts. Remove the power steering reservoir mounting bracket. Install the power steering fluid indicator and position the power steering reservoir aside.

Disconnect the coolant hoses from the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe.

NOTE: ACL side shown, engine side similar.

Loosen the clamps and remove the ACL outlet pipe.

NOTE: If there is any oil residue, clean both connecting ports and the inside surface of the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) pipe to prevent the pipe from blowing off.

Loosen the clamps and remove the CAC tube.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

Remove the secondary fuel filter and remove all fuel from the filter housing.
- To install, tighten to 14 Nm (124 lb-in).

Disconnect the fuel return tube from the regulator cover.
- To install, tighten to 43 Nm (32 lb-ft).

WARNING: Clean all fuel residue from the engine compartment. If not removed, fuel residue may ignite when the engine is returned to operation. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Remove the 4 screws and the fuel pressure regulator cover.

Remove and discard the fuel pressure regulator cover O-ring seal.

Remove the spring and poppet valve.
- Inspect the fixed orifice for foreign material.

Clean the fuel pressure regulator bore in the fuel filter housing.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
