PINPOINT TEST G: DTCs B1405, B1408 OR B1410 - DRIVER POWER WINDOW SWITCH CIRCUIT SHORT TO BATTERY OR DRIVER POWER WINDOW MOTOR CIRCUIT FAILURE

  1. G1 CHECK SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) DTCs 
    • Key in ON position.
    • Check the SJB for DTCs.
    • Is DTC B1410 present? 
    1. YES  : Go to  G2.
    2. NO  : Go to  G4.
  2. G2 CHECK CIRCUITS CPW01 (BN/BU) AND CPW11 (BU/GY) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Smart Junction Box (SJB) C2280c and C2280d
    • Disconnect: Driver Window Motor C524
    • Measure the resistance between ground and driver window motor:

      • C524-1, circuit CPW11 (BU/GY).
      • C524-2, circuit CPW01 (BN/BU).
    • Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? 
    1. YES  : Go to  G3.
    2. NO  : REPAIR circuit CPW01 (BN/BU) or CPW11 (BU/GY) for a short to ground. TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. G3 CHECK CIRCUITS CPW01 (BN/BU) AND CPW11 (BU/GY) FOR AN OPEN

    • Measure the resistance between driver window motor:
      • C524-1, circuit CPW11 (BU/GY) and SJB C2280d-20, circuit CPW11 (BU/GY).
      • C524-2, circuit CPW01 (BN/BU) and SJB C2280c-13, circuit CPW01 (BN/BU).
    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. YES  : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES article. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : REPAIR circuit CPW01 (BN/BU) or CPW11 (BU/GY) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.
  4. G4 CHECK CIRCUITS CPW10 (YE/VT) AND CPW11 (BU/GY) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Smart Junction Box (SJB) C2280c and C2280d
    • Disconnect: Driver Window Control Switch C504
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between ground and driver window control switch:

      • C504-4, circuit CPW11 (BU/GY).
      • C504-1, circuit CPW10 (YE/VT).
    • Is voltage present? 
    1. YES  : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES article. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : REPAIR circuit CPW10 (YE/VT) or CPW11 (BU/GY) for a short to voltage. TEST the system for normal operation.
