  1. Install the seal and the 3 pushpins on the top of the radiator.
  2. Position the radiator into the engine compartment and install the bolts.
    • Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
  3. Connect the lower radiator hose to the radiator.
  4. Install the cooling fan and shroud. For additional information, refer to Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud - 2.3L  in this article.
  5. Connect the upper radiator hose to the radiator.
  6. Position the coolant overflow hose in the channel on top of the radiator, then connect the hose to the radiator.


  1. Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding - 2.3L  in this article.
  2. WARNING: Do not stand in line with or near the engine cooling fan blade when revving the engine. A damaged fan can separate during operation. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
  3. Operate the engine for several minutes and check the hoses and connections for leaks.
