When the key is turned to the unlock position in the driver door lock cylinder, the door disarm switch provides a ground signal to the Smart Junction Box (SJB). With this signal, the SJB disarms the perimeter alarm, thereby allowing entry without activating the alarm.
- DTC B2100 (Door Driver Key Cylinder Switch Failure) - sets when there is a short to ground in the circuit between the door disarm switch and the SJB . A shorted switch (shorted to UNLOCK) can also cause this DTC.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Door disarm switch (part of the driver door latch)
- SJB
