- DTC U0140 (Lost Communication With Body Control Module [GEM]) - a continuous memory DTC that sets in the Instrument Cluster (IC) if data messages received from the Smart Junction Box (SJB) over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) are missing for 5 seconds or longer.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
