Removal & Installation

- Remove the rear door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM & ORNAMENTATION article.
- Remove the interior weatherstrip.
- Position the watershield aside.
- Remove the nut and the exterior weatherstrip.
- Connect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING & CABLES article.
- Connect the window control switch electrical connectors.
- Lower the window glass to gain access to the rear door window glass rivets.
- Remove the rear door window glass rivets.
- Lower the window glass to the full down position.
- Remove the glass from the division bar, move the glass between the division bar and the door outer panel and remove the rear door window glass.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Using the special tool, install the new rivets.
CAUTION:
Prior to removing rivet center pins, it is necessary to place a suitable block support between the door outer panel and the rear door window channel bracket to stabilize the rear door window glass during rivet removal.
