Removal & Installation

  1. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. For additional information, refer to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES & ENTRY SYSTEMS article.
  2. NOTE: If necessary, use a suitable tool to gently pry the 2 locking tabs outward far enough to release the transceiver from the steering column.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the PATS transceiver.
  4. NOTE: Replacement of the PATS transceiver does not require the PATS keys to be programmed into the PCM again.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
