Removal And Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Support the muffler and tailpipe assembly with a safety stand.
- Release the exhaust intermediate pipe and the front muffler and tailpipe hanger isolators.
- Loosen the exhaust intermediate pipe-to-catalytic converter Torca® clamp.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Remove the exhaust intermediate pipe and the muffler and tailpipe assembly from the catalytic converter.
- Loosen the muffler and tailpipe assembly-to-exhaust intermediate pipe Torca® clamp.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Remove the exhaust intermediate pipe from the muffler and tailpipe assembly.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- If a new Torca® clamp needs to be installed, install the new Torca® in the same orientation as the original.
