Normal Operation
When the ignition switch is turned to the RUN position, the ABS module activates the hydraulic pump motor for 100 milliseconds (ms) (±6 ms). The ABS module then commands the pump off and measures pump motor voltage after 6 ms. If the voltage indicates that the motor is spinning at less than 500 rpm the motor may be locking up. If this condition is detected 4 times, then a locked motor DTC C1095 is set. The pump motor is checked for an open circuit 2 seconds after the most recent successful pump motor off command. If the pump motor feedback remains greater than 0.75 volt for more than 50 ms (±6 ms) after these conditions have been met, then DTC C1096 is set.
Fused battery voltage is supplied to the ABS module from battery junction box (BJB) fuse 15 (40A) along circuit SBB15 (WH/RD) and ground is provided along circuit GD121 (BK/YE).
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit open
- Circuit shorted
- Hydraulic control unit (HCU)
- ABS module
