Removal And Installation

RH sensor 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
  2. Both sensors 

  3. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.
  4. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the sensor threads with penetrating and lock lubricant to assist in removal.
  5. Using the special tool, remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
    • To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

    NOTE: Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
