NOTE:
The Smart Junction Box (SJB) is also known as the Generic Electronic Module (GEM).
The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) has a full function message center (identified by the 3-button message center switch). The IPC contains gauges, informational indicators and warning indicators that are designed to provide the driver with system status and to alert the driver that certain conditions exist in the vehicle.
The IPC uses a message center display area for basic informational items such as the odometer and trip odometer and for the text-based message center display information.
