Pinpoint Test An: The Compass Is Inaccurate

AN1 CHECK THE COMPASS ZONE SETTING AND CALIBRATION
- Set the zone. Refer to Compass Zone Adjustment - With Message Center or Compass Zone Adjustment - Without Message Center .
- Calibrate the compass. Refer to Compass Calibration - With Message Center or Compass Calibration - Without Message Center .
- Does the compass calibrate correctly?
1. YES : The compass is OK.
2. NO : INSTALL a new compass sensor module if equipped or rear video camera display mirror if equipped. SET the zone. REFER to Compass Zone Adjustment - With Message Center or Compass Zone Adjustment - Without Message Center . CALIBRATE the compass. REFER to Compass Calibration - With Message Center or Compass Calibration - Without Message Center . TEST the system for normal operation.
